As an integration consultant, you play a central role in the implementation of the new Integration Act. To that end, you conduct the Comprehensive Intake, draw up a Personal Integration and Participation Plan (PIP), and coordinate its implementation. You will also connect our contracted service providers with the resident so that the PIP can be implemented.
The new Integration Act took effect on January 1, 2022. The purpose of the law is to enable newcomers to participate in Dutch society as quickly as possible, with the goal of helping them find paid employment. With the introduction of this new law, responsibility for the integration process now lies with the municipality.
This new approach is a frequent topic of discussion; together with your colleagues, you learn from practical experience and continuously improve the implementation of this law. To ensure the success of all these efforts, you also collaborate with formal and informal providers in the field.
Furthermore:
- Do you interpret the learning ability test?;
- Through regular personal contact, do you support the new resident in completing the PIP?;
- Take the lead in implementing the PIP;
- Are you someone who doesn't label people but sees everyone as someone you need to get to know?.
